Welcome to Canine Therapies Academy.

Canine Therapies Academy is located in Preston, Lancashire and was established in recognition of the need for high quality hydrotherapist training to enable people to offer specific treatments to dogs with knowledge, understanding and safety at its core.

The staff share a wealth of experience both as hydrotherapists and teachers and we recognise that adults may have some personal concerns about stepping onto a pathway of learning after a time gap of completing formal education.

For this reason our hydrotherapy courses are hands-on and taught in very small groups as we believe in the delivery of excellent, person centred learning.

We limit the numbers on our courses – often with just 2 or 3 learners as it is our intention to deliver high quality, enjoyable and learner focussed learning and to maximise participation and inclusion.

It is expected that all learners will complete the hydrotherapist training course within 6 to 12 months, but we accept that some may need to take slightly longer.
